A wood burning insert warms up any room in your house. This wood burning insert from Flame is ideal if you want to increase the efficiency of the fireplace in your house. It is designed to be installed in an existing wood burning fireplace. Open burning fireplaces are very inefficient as they burn rapidly, put off little heat into your living area, and pull large volumes of air out of the home and up the chimney with most of the heat from the fireplace. The Flame insert provides an air-tight, efficient combustion with long burn times using little wood. The firebox is 2.3 cubic feet and can hold logs up to 20 inches long. This allows the insert to output up to 75,000 BTUs and effectively heat up to 2,100 square feet of space. A heat activated 130 cfm fan kit is included, but a Faceplate and Faceplate Trim Kit are required to complete the appliance. A 6" stainless steel chimney liner kit is also recommended for safety and optimum operational performance. Inserts installed in fireplaces on exterior walls with exposed chimneys should also consider installing a Draw Collar to avoid draft problems.
