This wood-fired oven's shape is based on the design of masonry ovens from rural France in the 17th century. The ovens found in rural areas of Europe were typically horizontal, tunnel-style, retained heat ovens. However, the French were not the first to implement this design into their bread ovens. Early Roman wood-burning ovens were designed in the same fashion as well. Fast forward to the 21st century, Wildwood brings you this design in a compact, quick heating, refractory oven.
