Product Description Technical Specs Extended Information

The Hearthstone Shelburne 8371 cast iron wood stove is an elegant addition to any home or space needing extra heating capability. Utilizing the properties of intricately crafted cast iron forged in Spain, and natural hand-selected soapstone in Vermont, the Hearthstone Shelburne can burn for many hours on one full load of wood (up to 10 hours!). Tailored to meet EPA standards, this efficient cast iron stove burns at a rate of a mere 2.1 grams per hour, resulting in a minimal impact on the environment. Similar to the Hearthstone Craftsbury 8391, this more powerful stove can heat a larger area than the Craftsbury (up to 1,800 sq. ft.).

A spacious 2.0 cubic foot firebox allows plenty of logs up to 20" in length to be placed within the soapstone interior. A single lever intake allows you to control the ferocity of the fire raging within this wood stove made of cast iron with a simple tool. This cast iron stove offered to you by Obadiah's Wood Stoves can be placed in many different places around your home, thanks to the top or rear flue collar, which allows the stove to be installed as a freestanding unit, or as a hearth stove. The Shelburne 8371 presented to you by Hearthstone also features secondary air tubes that air passes through and into the firebox, causing the rising gases off of the burning wood to ignite, resulting in a dazzling display of fire.

For those customers looking for a cast iron wood stove for their mid sized home, who seek superior craftsmanship and heating capability, the Hearthstone Shelburne 8371 is the must have wood stove.

Features

2.0 cubic foot firebox with soapstone refractory
Spacious firebox accepts up to 20" logs.

Single lever air-intake control

Stove operation is easy; performance more consistent.

Unmatched fire viewing
Air entering the firebox through the stove’s secondary air tubes ignites the gases rising off the burning wood. The resulting light and flames provide dazzling fire viewing, even when the fire is burning at a low rate.

Top or rear flue collar
Flexible installation; stove can be installed as a freestanding unit or as a hearth stove.

Non-catalytic combustion system
Clean burning, more complete combustion provides more heat from less wood, greater efficiency; reduced smoke and creosote build-up.

Outside air adapter (optional)
Improved efficiency in today’s newer "airtight" homes; reduces cold air drafts along the floor.

Rear heat shield (optional)

Allows more placement options; stove can be installed closer to a wall because clearance requirements are reduced; creates a convection passageway between shield and back of stove to allow fan to circulate air through house.

Fan with built-in thermostat and rheostat (optional)
Helps spread heat evenly throughout home; fan operates only when stove is at significant heat level. The rheostat controls fan speed. Use of rear heat shield required.
