Product Description Technical Specs Extended Information and Videos

The Magnum Wood Cookstove specializes in wood or coal fired cooking. The stove's cooktop consists of a cast frame and a cast hotplate. The firebox is made entirely of cast parts. All cast parts are made of grey cast iron which provides a long lifespan of the product. The stove's oven is enameled and protected by insulating material. The firebox door, oven door, ash door, and warming drawer door are cast. The oven and firebox doors also have a glass. There is a thermometer located on the oven's door with a range of 0°-500°C. Inlet air regulators are located on the ash door and warming drawer doors, and above the firebox door exists a secondary air inlet regulator through which air goes to the inside of the firebox glass door and prevents soot buildup on the glass surface. The exterior lateral sides, drawer cover and the cooking pan are made of steel sheets and protected with enamel.

Due to EPA regulations, this stove is not a certified residential wood heater and is designed specifically for cooking or baking. The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) regulates the emissions or smoke on wood burning stoves. In order for cookstoves to be EPA exempt, they cannot be rated as a heater, although they do generate heat.

I love this stove! It burns very efficiently,  and the soapstone on the sides continues to kick out warmth long after the fire is out. It's beautiful to watch the fire through the window. I am still experimenting with controlling the heat in the oven, but I have successfully cooked dinners, bread and cookies in it. I have not been as successful burning coal in it. I have trouble keeping the coal fire going but wood works great. The firebox is short, but the narrower stove fits better in my small home. One load of wood heats my whole house during a minnesota winter. It's a very sturdy appliance and I think I will have a lifetime of use out of it.

I've been using the Magnum cook stove for three years. It has the highest efficiency available, 87% efficiency.
It's made in Croatia, great quality enamel finish, colorful and distinctive, I've received lots of compliments. This stove will match your decor with two sets of door handles, black and wood finish. Works great! It has a learning curve when starting the fire, so it takes a little practice at first.  I don't bake but the range has performed perfectly with an iron skillet. The food turns out great every time.
