Kitchen Queen 380 March 2, 2015 Reviewer: Jim from Sequim, Washington (Carlsborg)   We have heated and cooked with wood most of our lives (73 years). Without exception the Kitchen Queen is the the best stove for all purposes than anything else we have ever had. Once it was up and running and we got the feel for fine tuning it, we were so happy with our choice. It is so easy to fine tune the heat for both cooking and heating. The house is so richly warmed by this stove, which is rated to heat up to 1500 sq. ft., but in the Pacific Northwest it would easily heat a much larger space if were insulated at all.   In the morning when I get up to a warm house, I rake the coals together in the firebox, add some small wood to get things going again, and in about 20 minutes I have coffee brewing. If there is a better wood cookstove being made anywhere, I would like to see it. Call me at 360-565-6527 if you want to talk about the details. Not one regret January 3, 2015 Reviewer: Tisha Morgan from North Alabama   I bought this stove about 5 years ago and it didn't take long to realize the craftsmanship that went into it.  We sold the house soon afterwards and almost had a deal breaker when the realtor failed to tell the buyers that it wasn't going to stay.  It's in the new house now and I couldn't be happier with its performance. The Queen of Cookstoves December 2, 2014 Reviewer: Debbie & Roger from Canby, CA   Hello Annette and all the Folks at Obadiahs that help us get our wood stove,            Thank You for all your hard work getting us our wood stove and chimney parts! We finally got all the bits and pieces of the chimney and our stove has been up and keeping us warm and fed for over a week now. In the end the one chimney piece that we had to wait for was delivered by an old friend of ours who usually drives for UPS in another area. We made contact with him and his family again which was a great bonus.            Thanks again for sticking with this and providing a great wood cook stove. I will attach a picture of it installed. Excellent Crafted; Totally Satisfied January 22, 2014 Reviewer: J S from South Mountain, PA   Hello again,  I was just sitting here and thanking God for the wonderful heat this wood cook stove puts out. This makes the 3rd year we have been using the Kitchen Queen; and what a cook stove. This year has had some very cold days and with a wind chill down as low as –25 below. I have bought fuel oil back in the first week of November and haven’t bought any since; where before we would have had the tank filled once a month. Thanks to the people who labor to make our comfort here in PA. What a blessing we have received. In the past 3 years this Kitchen Queen has saved us several thousand dollars. It heats our home with ease, plus we use it for cooking and baking. My wife now would rather use the Kitchen Queen to cook on than our electric stove. We have had no problems at all; I mean "0" problems! I can’t tell you enough how much we are pleased with the purchase of this excellent crafted product . The quality is just outstanding, and the best money I ever spent. One truly happy customer here in PA. Please share this note with everyone involved, because they truly need a pat on the back. Kitchen Queen 480 is a great stove January 2, 2014 Reviewer: Rainier Rod from Rainier, WA   This is the first wood stove I have ever owned.  But let me tell you it is a pleasure to use and worth every penny.  It heats the house and cooks the food.  I agree with previous reviewers that said food tastes better from this stove.  The oven even cooks more evenly that my conventional electric convection oven.  One of the best investments I have ever made.  I give it my highest recommendation. Best Design / Fast Service! December 27, 2013 Reviewer: Les & Judy Short from Alberta, Canada   Our 480 arrived and after setting it up, could not be more pleased with the quality and service we received. This has to be the best designed and looking stove on the market.  We have a 3500 sq.ft. log home and when it gets -40 in northern Alberta I know we will be comfortable. Exceptional, Impressive Service! Many hours were devoted by Woody and Annette, talking with us and providing us with valuable information in order to establishing which cook stove would be precisely what we needed. Our Kitchen Queen 480 arrived in perfect condition exactly as promised. Woody spent many hours via e-mail and photographs coaching me through the installation process and helping to establish the best possible stove piping arrangement for my installation. The result is a beautiful cook stove installation that works perfectly and exactly as expected. Ode to the Kitchen Queen September 4, 2013 Reviewer: Walker Smith from Bigfork, MT United States   We installed a Kitchen Queen 480 in the summer of 2010. The stove has transformed our lakeside cabin into cozy and sometimes piping hot cabin. We have cooked our Thanksgiving Turkey, the pies and all the sides this year exclusively on the kitchen queen. While I have some experience with wood-fired cooking it has been fun to see friends and family's excitement over the efficiency and comfort of this stove. The cookstove is now the cornerstone of our weekend retreat and has inspired visitors to write poems and draw hand sketches of the glorious stove. I have purchased many items in my 42 years on this earth and pound for pound, dollar for dollar this is the best money I have ever spent !!!!! The Almish have engineered a smart stove and built it with US steel. Woody and Annette and their crew completed the experience with wonderful service and patience with my long list of questions during the install process. Thanks for all your work. really educated me about cook stoves August 28, 2013 Reviewer: Mary White from Idaho   I just spent an hour on the phone speaking with Woody.  I had my heart set on a very pretty, shiny, old-fashioned wood cookstove and after speaking with Woody and learning so much more about stoves, I am now leaning toward a totally different but much more functional stove.  Thank you Woody for spending the time educating me.  I will come to you when I have the cash to buy my stove.
