Product Description Technical Specs Extended Information and Videos

The Pioneer Princess has the same basic design as the Pioneer Duchess and similiar to the old Pioneer Maid Wood-burning cookstove, but with an added front load firebox door and thermostat control, as well as many more friendly features. She cooks and bakes like a Pioneer Maid, but she's a Princess! The Body of the Pioneer Cookstove is constructed of 11 Gauge (1/8") Steel, There are 18 Gauge Black Porcelain Enamel coated side panels with air gap for natural convection heat.
Optional Refractory Bricks, comes standard with Stainless Steel C Channel Bricks. The SS Bricks do not break and need replaced often like the refractory, but they also dissipate heat and cool down quicker which is ideal during the summer, but not always the best for winter time heating. Please specify if you would like the refractory style.
The Pioneer Princess can be installed using double wall stove pipe, but you may find that your stove adapters from different brands may not fit tightly and you will need to drill (2) holes in the adapter and line them up with the pre drilled tabs on the flue outlet box on back of the cookstove.

5 of 5 Pioneer Princess Cookstove February 12, 2012
Reviewer: Jim and Rebecca Herberg from Montrose, Colorado
We purchased The Pioneer Princess with the warming oven, and we are thrilled with it.
The ambient heat is the most comfortable we have experienced. The night temperatures here have been in the teens  and we never have to get up in the night to stock wood.
The transition for me to cooking with wood was incredibly simple. Our second day using the wood stove I successfully baked bread. The cook top is large enough that moving the pans around enables me to cook from a slow simmer to a searing heat. The warming oven works beautifully and I discover new uses for it daily. (Try dropping orange peels in a bowl with cloves and pop them in for air freshener.)
The stove is beautifully designed and made.  We found assembly and installation to be simple and straightforward, and the customer service friendly and expeditious.  The ash insert makes cleaning a breeze. Installed as directed, we have no smoke or ash in the house at all. Thank you so much to Obadiah's for a wonderful product!
